The Super Bowl halftime show has included music since the first big game was played in 1967. But it wasn't until 1991 that the halftime show featured pop music. Prior to that, university marching bands played at the half.
Times sure have changed. In 2022, the Super Bowl halftime show will feature a slew of iconic rappers and hip-hop stars. Dr Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar will join the ranks of an exclusive group of performers who have graced the NFL stage in front of billions of people.
Some of them are the richest in music history, but do their real estate portfolios match their wallets? Check out their homes (ranked by value), and see for yourself.

Not much is known about Big Boi's main residence in Fayetteville. He recently purchased the small but iconic Dungeon Family residence near downtown Atlanta. OutKast came together in this home's basement, and it's where the Dungeon Family collective had its beginnings.
Big Boi partnered with Airbnb in 2021 to allow fans to stay at the house. "Since purchasing the home, I’ve been excited to open its doors and welcome the next generation of artists to the space that inspired countless songs," he said.
10. Snoop Dogg

/granite-web-prod/28/1b/281b3b7fd2914dabaa46ca1c39ecf8d7.png)
Snoop is worth about $150 million, but when it comes to properties, he's fairly humble. Diamond Bar is a good hour from Beverly Hills, and Snoop has lived in the same neighborhood for over two decades.
Before he moved to the area, he lived in a 3,700-square-foot home in Claremont, California, which he doubled in size before moving to Diamond Bar.
He prefers to spend his money on his car collection. He owns several Pontiacs and Cadillacs and a Ferrari 458 Italia, a Rolls-Royce Ghost, and Tesla Model X, among others.

/granite-web-prod/f3/b4/f3b4ec2d20db47548d73f873235678bc.jpeg)
Kid Rock gave up a life of opulence when he sold his Malibu property and Detroit digs for a trailer on a little over a hundred acres outside of Nashville.
Rock, who is worth $150 million, said he wanted to get back to a simpler lifestyle.
"If that trailer burns down or blows off the mountain, order another one," he said. "It’ll be here in two weeks. It’s very easy to clean. Simplicity at its finest. Sure, you don’t have some of the finer luxury things like big thick shag carpet … but that stuff’s never really meant a lot to me."
8. Eminem

Bottom Line: Eminem
/granite-web-prod/02/9b/029b1aa3f73b4baaba6bfa788b8c00a9.jpeg)
Despite Eminem's net worth wealth (he's valued at about $230 million), he lives modestly in comparison to his peers. He purchased his current property in Clinton Township back in 2000 and bought a larger second property in Rochester Hills in 2003 for $4.75 million.
He wasn't using the Rochester Hills property nearly as much as the one he owns in Clinton Township and sold it in 2017. In 2022, it's back on the market, and the owners are selling it at a loss — it's a steal at $3.2 million.
7. Mary J. Blige

/granite-web-prod/9e/a9/9ea9a77b7b3c4e12abef5b7eea2550a4.jpeg)
Until fairly recently, Mary J. Blige had two homes in New Jersey, but after some money problems, she's in the process of unloading both.
She's owned her modest Cresskill property since 2001, and it's been on and off the market over the last two years.
She sold her much larger home in Saddle Creek in 2020 for $5.5 million.

Price: $30,000 + a month
Bottom Line: Nicki Minaj
/granite-web-prod/4e/c9/4ec908eef5cd4b89b646bd415a2adaf3.jpeg)
Minaj is generally quiet about her private life. She was known to live in a Beverly Hills mansion with her husband, but it appears they've moved elsewhere in the Los Angeles area.
According to Nikki Swift, she rented another mansion that was built on the site of Frank Sinatra's home and was said to be renting it for $30,000 + a month. It sold in June 2021, and at this time, we have no idea where she's landed.

She also owns a 15,000+-square-foot home near her childhood stomping grounds of Portsmouth, Virginia, that she built for her mother. She spends most of her time there and divides the rest between her other properties.

P. Diddy's real estate portfolio is massive. He has owned an Atlanta mansion, a luxury apartment in New York City, a waterfront estate on Florida's Star Island, and a condo in Miami Beach.
His largest investment is the Holmby Hills property in Los Angeles, which has a 35-seat theater, a gym, wine cellar, and a pool with an underwater tunnel that leads to a nearby grotto.
